Texas Blue Norther

Blue-black sky rapid cold front

Unprepared, no coats.

Before we left Alaska, we were advised to keep our Parkas. It proved to be an excellent suggestion. In addition, that's when the terms Texas Norther or Blue Norther were used. In case you are wondering, during a Texas Blue Norther, temperatures can drop 20 to 30 degrees in minutes. The winds are strong and the sky is a dark blue-black.

Thank you!
