Tending the Garden of Self

Self Love

In the garden of my being,

I plant seeds of patience,

Nurture roots of self-love.

Each day, I water confidence

With drops of friend's affirmations,

Watch it bloom in vibrant hues.

Weeds of doubts still sprout,

But I've learned to gently uproot them,

Composting old fears into new growth.

I trim branches of expectation,

Let sunlight filter through,

Illuminating hidden possibilities.

In this ever-changing landscape,

I cultivate resilience,

A sturdy trellis for future love.

Some flowers open early,

Others take their time -

Each blossom unique, beautiful.

As seasons pass, I tend patiently,

Knowing the most exquisite blooms

Often arrive when least expected.

This garden, my sanctuary,

Grows more lush with every year,

A testament to self-nurture.

And when love comes to visit,

It will find not barren soil,

But a flourishing paradise, ready to share!
