Tell Me Why?

A nonet love sandwich

Tell Me Why?

Had you on my shoulder like a man,

Walked this road as long as I can,

No longer your handyman,

No cards left in my hand,

You can't tell me why,

Guess it's goodbye,

Cause you can't,

Tell me,

Why?

Why?

Tell me,

I suppose,

No longer love,

I'm just a dreamer,

Believing all you said,

But now our love is just dead,

I was there for you, but for what,

Simply just forgotten, tell me why?

??????????????????

[Authors' note: A take on the standard nonet poem (a nine-line poem where the number of syllables in each line decreases by one, starting with nine syllables in the first line and ending with one syllable in the last line). Two nonet poems, the second one reversed.]

Till next time,

Calvin
