Tears From The Heart

Looking towards the sky

I have a sense of disappointment

Coming through me at this moment

I can clearly see the mistakes

I have made and it rips my heart apart

What can I do about it now

Nothing I must live with past transgressions

As I wipe my tears away

I can see tears wont bring back

What I have lost forever

My heart will never be whole again

What is left for me and my legacy

In this cruel world

Legacies are written by many things

The good, the bad, and the ugly

Only one person can change that

And that is me

The real question is

Do I have it in me

To shoulder on

Or will I let it engulf my soul

I guess only time will tell
