Tears are True Friends

Light of trust

By Rehan SiddiquiPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Sometimes the tears just start to fall,

Without a warning, without a call,

They come like raindrops from the sky,

Asking questions we can't deny.

Sometimes the heart feels heavy and sore,

With emotions too strong to ignore,

The pain builds up, it's hard to bear,

And we find ourselves in a state of despair.

Sometimes the tears are like a release,

A cleansing of the soul, a sense of peace,

They flow freely, a river of emotion,

A vulnerable display of our deepest devotion.

Sometimes we cry for those we miss,

For broken dreams, for a stolen kiss,

For love lost, for friendships gone,

For endings, for goodbyes, for moving on.

Sometimes we cry when we feel alone,

When the weight of the world is too much to condone,

When the struggles seem insurmountable,

And we're left feeling small and vulnerable.

Sometimes we cry to let it out,

To let the pain and hurt devout,

To acknowledge our humanity,

And embrace our fragility with humility.

Sometimes tears are a language of the heart,

Expressing what words cannot impart,

They speak of love, joy, grief,

Of the depths of our soul, a profound belief.

So let the tears flow when they need to come,

For they are a part of being human, everyone,

They cleanse the spirit, heal the heart,

And remind us that emotions are a work of art.
