The Sadness

The overwhelmingness of it all

the grief is there

You see the flowers

but they mean nothing now

You want to scream

It's only when you look around

that you realize

this is really happening

The tears are falling.

You look and see

everyone else's tears

Everyone else feels it too

You look towards the front

but it's all a blurry mess

You know you look a wreck

You wish it hadn't happened

but there's nothing you can do

You want to run away

The tears are falling.

You blame yourself

even though you know

it's not your fault

You wish it's all over

You can't take it any longer

You can't take it alone

You try to stay strong

but you're about to lose it

So you finally let go.

The tears are falling.

About the Creator

Lorelai Breedlove

I started writing when I was 10 and I never stopped. I started because I felt it was a great way to express yourself and not have to say it to anyone. I've never been one to tell people what I'm thinking, so writing was a good for me. :)
