Teachers Are Parents

So, do you think it matters?

By Jarimay BanzalesPublished 7 years ago 1 min read
This photo is taken by me at our school, St. Mary Catholic Academy.

Imagine our lives without a father

How is it to grow up without a mother?

Can we see what’s wrong with this matter?

They say a child without parents grows-up without a manner

In the school, there’s a teacher

That can act as a child's father or mother

That help’s a child to be prim and proper

So, do you think it matters?

Being a parent isn’t always in the DNA

We can be parents by heart, so what they can say?

I can’t even find the right words to say,

Cause ‘ I salute Parents and Teachers’ is all I can say

I know its tiring to teach 6 hours a day

And it's hard to make a lesson plan for lessons of the day

´Thank you for teaching us today’ is what we always say

But we hope to ease the stress by saying a little thank you every day

Writing a poem isn’t easy, but thanks to all of my teachers

Cause without them, I wouldn’t be able to write and recite this poem

I dedicate this piece to all the faculty members of any school

Because they give life a meaning that is so beautiful
