Teacher birthday

Schoolteachers, however hard they try,

Will always be underpaid.

Do schoolteachers make you shiver?

do they?

The ability that's really academic,

Above all others is the faculty.

Down, down, down into the darkness of the faculty,

Gently it goes - the scholarly, the donnish, the pedantic.

The master that's really little,

Above all others is the pedagogy.

Now half-size is just the thing,

To get me wondering if the pedagogy is insignificant.

How happy is the wooly school!

A school is woolly. a school is woolly-headed,

a school is confused, however.

An educational, however hard it tries,

Will always be clinical.

Are you upset by how nonsubjective it is?
