Teach Your Kids About Nature

With urgency, before calamity strikes

You might be misled

to believe,

it's material wealth,

your kids need—

but truth is that

they need:

fresh air, clean water,

healthy food,

harmony with nature

stable world

to thrive.

But are we letting,

that necessity happen?

Not quite.

In ignorance,

we are mining the earth,

cutting forests,

acidifying water,

poisoning air,

no wonder calamity,

is too common.

Erratic rains,

catastrophic hurricanes,

infernos, wildfires—

are too frequent,

we should be ashamed.

Humans crave security,

but how can we feel secure

when we face such disasters

so often?

The very earth we live on

turns against us,

it’s just too tragic.

So, carve out time,

from money-making priorities,

educate yourself first,

so you can take your child

to the bosom of nature,

and teach them,

about the flora and fauna,

their mutual relationship,

and link with us.

Show them

how we are all connected—

which, if we tamper with,

hell can break loose.
