when we step outside and observe nature
we are greeted by time past and yet to come
oak trees are an anthology of time gone
they have seen this world change time and again
leaves on the ground tell of a long journey
they are dedicated to their story
the river born not in a day’s time
years of persistence all to become great
if we listen to the tales of the earth
we can gain vital wisdom from the past
the future is prophesied by the wind
she whispers of changes yet to be true
the sky sends us messages in the clouds
so we can know about our tomorrow
birds tell us truths without hesitation
they care not for our opinions of them
the bees are the loudest prophet of all
they are giving their lives to speak the truth
can we hear the song sung all around us
can we listen to ancestors long gone
and trust the spirit of the great redwoods
or can we hear the urgency of care
to protect the sacred tales of the Earth
and find a hope in a future unsure

Lovely. We must protect the earth and the human race is bent on its destruction. Nice job!
