Your presence fills the room

like a bunch of helium balloons

One glance and I’d float away

your killer smile is like neon

reading the room-

My attention is tied up,

like a red ribbon around my wrist

as thread of fate relatedness

my stomach in knots

like cherry stems

The endless sky in your eyes,

is wide as our chemistry

butterflies are escaping my mouth

like there’s a hole in my net-

(Thank goodness gravity is on my side)

Practice makes perfect,

like situating perfectly

a pick up line delivery

My heart is so full, it could pop!

Wishing shades of blushing

would QUIT giving

away my obvious

level of INFATUATION

Note to self (be mysterious)

Taking in a breath like

my lungs were puffs of helium

my voice raises an octave

trying to play it off cool;

AS if I knew how to command room

my head spinning

like a swivel barstool

(Don’t act like a tool)

As his voice lowers,

SO I didn’t catch your name?

Something so frivolous as a name,

(how could I have not mentioned that)

feeling deflated as a day old balloon…

I should of lead with that!
