Take Me Away

Take me away to a cavernous abyss,

these traces and paces of a love sealed within a tender kiss.

Through the twisted brambles I fight with all my will and my might,

to a place so deep, I leap like a breath of air and take to flight,

like crystal-clear ripples of water flowing across the rocks in a creek,

I hold on to what and where my heart does seek.

In one state of mind, one instance to find, one moment in time.

Bring me back to the reality of a paradise prime.

My hopes and dreams all showing me the signs,

these frozen flames of another rhythm and rhyme.

I give my trust, I honor my promises, and I remain true,

like all the shadows and lights that hold my virtues.

My path is mine to take and all my choices to make.
