Photograph: mine
Here is your task
Make me a dress
Cut from the tide
A siren satin lure
To suck unwary ankles
Legs swimming in
A foaming lace petticoat
Embroider twilight stars
Nestled within liquid folds
Don’t forget
The matching stole
Gauzy wisp
Of limpid chiffon cloud
Afloat moonlit flesh
Beneath its caustics
Add a sheer shift
Willing to absorb
Salted sweat; pungent
As sea’s breeze is
Whipped up, frenzied
By storms dancing
Across sandstone ballrooms
Ocean princes will seek
To write their names
On my dance card
Yet I will tack
Back and forth
Waiting for royal wind
To fill my sails
There is only
One king
Of the deep
Into his arms alone
I desire to be
About the Creator
Aspen Marie
In love with life and all of its foibles.

You'd wear it like a total babe, a sea dress! Anyway, again, another beautiful poem that is as introspective as it is nature-based and nature-praising! Well done, lass.
That last line? Chef’s kiss!! If you ever actually make this dress, I volunteer to be your ocean prince’s sidekick. Ready to see those dance moves! 🥰
Awww this was so sweet! And your photo was absolutely stunning! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
