Fill in the Blanks
I can drown myself in an oasis of everlasting bliss far from genuine in even the slightest of manners. I can't begin to picture genuine bliss and happiness for I have never experienced such an imaginary concept. I’ve always imagined that happiness was only found in the arms of another man or women. Happiness as far as I was concerned was a thing very rare to be found without a lover. Or at least that was what my mother always told me, but I wondered how she could ever say such things. After all, my father hadn’t been around for as long as I could remember. Although, if I fixate long and hard enough, I can remember to the days where my height was the equivalent to the height of my mothers blushed knees. And I could remember faintly being picked up in the arms of the man who was once my father. A man who, with bright green eyes and a crooked smile, lifted me high in the air, erupting an exciting feeling in the pit of my stomach, etching not to put me down under any circumstances. Where had the days gone by?

My Name
Hattie. The venturing into a new world. A soft whisper from exhausted lips that had consumed 3 too many shots. A moment of sentiment, from a mother, who was only so for a second. My name, Hattie, is warped. Twisted like the stories of the gods. It is a storm, raging beneath a calm facade. A story, that time will bury underneath the sands it holds so dear. My name is forgettable. My name is loud. But my name is not who I am. Only who I wish to be. It means power.

What I See When I Look
Windows, When I look out them all I see are people, People everywhere, some through windows. Others just by passers, People in a rush, in a crowd, or some just watching others. People judging others, people accepting others. When I look all I see are people,People who need each other more than anything. The need we have for each other goes from here to there in a blink. The day we can all just slow down and stop to think, That will be the day when we all decide to take a step back. That is the day I will stop seeing people judging each other and instead acknowledging each other, Acknowledging each other for the love in our hearts and not by what materials we own or do not own, but for now all I see are people who need each other and are just too stubborn to realize the solution is easier than we know.
