performance poetry
Performance Poetry is poetry out loud; poems brought from the page to the stage.
Prized Possession
You say you need to feel a tender touch. To see a queen's royal flush. I'm talking chess not checkers, leave those kiddie games at Toys R Us. Check my resumé but baby, read between the lines. Because that one thing that you're searching for, on paper, you just won't find. My beauty and power intrigue like Nefertiti. My loss can tell you stories you cannot see on TV And, more than any wall, in my heart, you will find cracks. But, like a ball hitting a wall, I always bounce back.

My Sanctuary
I do not like being around people. It hurts to have conversations with anybody. It is tedious and annoying. Nobody is fooled by my mask. They know I do not want to see them, to talk to them. They know I care not a damn thing about them. They hate me for it. I see nothing wrong on my account. I did not avoid them to hurt them, I did it to save myself.
