nature poetry
An ode to Mother Nature; poems that take their inspiration from the great outdoors.
I Am a Flower
My failure grew as weeds surrounded me. Thinking I needed to, I tried too hard to become them. I did not understand who I was, what I wanted to be, so I figured this was the only way I could’ve survived. As I was worried about mimicking their movements, attempting and failing to react their shape, they managed to take everything from me.

The Call of the Isle
She calls to my soul, I hear her sweet whisper as I fall into sleep. She calls my name as I walk though the night, where my mind never leaves her sight. I yearn for the land my family once called home, home where my heart belongs. She has my heart more then anything else, my Isle love has no test! One day, my love, one day soon, I will see you in all your glory. I'll walk on your land feeling at peace, your peace healing my heart which has fallen apart. Your freedom summons my heart as it lures me in, how little I fight your will. How little I fight the call of the Isle.
