Spring Sunrise
The spring sunrise wraps her warmth around me–illuminating my skin in hues of crimson and golden-brown. As she rises from her winter slumber, her silhouette stretches across the bedroom walls, forming abstract shapes that remind me of modern art sculptures.

Arise, Morning Bird
Arise, morning bird; how your call gently nudges me from the hypnosis of utopias of which I traveled joyously. Arise, morning bird; now awakened, disturbed but grateful as the breath of life tingles my nostrils, electrifying my responses, awakening the fossil.
