An ode to Mother Nature; poems that take their inspiration from the great outdoors.
I was once adored now I lie beneath your boots you moved on quickly

You were passing through, a season, a fallen leaf, but God, November.
I never saw the beauty of yellow until you gave it meaning
Trees don't beg the leaves they've made peace with letting go but I am no tree
Gold leaves surround me the world crowns me in color I’m lost without her
Colors come and go you're more like an evergreen constant in my heart
Loved on leafy hills you were right- it really was the best time to fall.
Crimson overhead but it was our love beneath that set it ablaze
We held hands one fall trees shed leaves like memories each one cuts deeper
you don't even flinch as i cling with all i am while you let me go
They praise your hues but I stay through bare seasons loving quietly
Golden leaves will fall but I stay through every change love without condition
