An ode to Mother Nature; poems that take their inspiration from the great outdoors.
This canvas, once green, Now veiled in a cursory Yet rich, brilliant blush

Vivid shades and hues Wash over, then swiftly pale In a brief moment
The cold air enters, And carries away the last Bits of warmth and light
Colorful demise Such a marvelous disguise Let beauty arise

My mind drifts just as The autumn leaves do, my thoughts Float on the brisk air
The reds and golds of Autumn fall away, as the Earth sheds its old skin
As the darkness grows, The last flickers of autumn’s Fiery colors glow
The trees’ green ignites, Aglow with evanescent Red and yellow flames
A flushed complexion Intensely hued, forms across Her face, then grows faint
Vibrant colors fall Gently to the cement floor Brightening the path
