heartbreak
They can break your heart, but they can't break your soul; poetry about lost love that comforts and uplifts.
The Sun Kissed the Sky Goodnight
The sun kissed the sky "goodnight" as she fell asleep. The sky blushed, her cheeks flushed with deep ruby reds and royal blues. It was evenings like this the sky found it practically impossible to conceal her affliction towards her beloved sunlight.

You Tempted Me...
They warned me about people like you; people that say "I love you" and actually mean it, people that would never intentionally hurt their significant other. It was perfect; you were perfect. But that was the problem. You were too good, too immaculate for someone like me. I couldn't condemn you to a fate like mine, a fate full of sins. This life isn't for an angel like you, so pure and sweet, who wouldn't dare hurt a fly. I crushed you, but a temporary heartache is favorable over a damned existence. You deserve better, no matter how much I want to pull you into my darkness.
