Lord of the Rings Triology
Since I published one on "Twilight" (one of our son's favorite series, both in written & video form), I guess I might as well share the one I wrote as a comment on Paul's (I think) haiku review of "Lord of the Rings". This one is perhaps a bit more serious & relates to one of the more important themes Tolkien wanted to stress, but typically gets short shrift & underplayed. The vital spiritual & ethical importance of not killing Golem but actually caring for him, protecting him, attempting to help him, & allowing him to tag along.

Twighlight: Breaking Dawn
Okay, I wasn't going to inflict this upon you. But after reading so many other entries into Judey's book review haiku challenge, you've inspired me. Specifically inspired by HandsomelouiThePoet (aka, Lonzo Ward) & his delightful review of the series, this is for my son, always team Jacob, & the way he & his friends would scream with delight every time Jacob ripped off his shirt during a midnight screening. (Yes, I'm looking at you Tiffany. No not you, Tiff, the other Tiffany, the one Keenan knew in high school. They were actually more fun than the movie, & I enjoyed the movie in spite of the fact that it makes my wife just shake her head, lol.)
