The day after my childhood dog

Would have turned 25

My child was born

<

My dog had passed 12 years earlier

But I still carried his ID tags in my pocket

Every day

<

The day before my child

Would have turned 25

My dog would have turned 50

<

My boy had passed 12 years earlier

But I still carry the wallet he gave me in my pocket

Every day
