The Spirit was there,
singing with us this morning,
lifting our voices.
Past the dimensions
On to Heaven.
Angels hovered
On silent wings
As they joined in,
Singing “ Holy, holy, holy
Lord God Almighty”
Exalting Him
As our voices
rose and fell,
Melody and Harmony
In a celestial dance,
Beautifully tangled
Together, erasing the
Lines where one ends
And the other begins
Ordinary
voices becoming
One extraordinary
symphony
Carried on the wind
Above the trees
Past the adoring sun
Like wispy tendrils
Of pure Love
Swirling, dancing
Toward the heavens
A thousand angels
Raise their voices
And sing along,
In angelic chorus
Rejoicing,
in every word
And every note
That wafts up from
The old church
Tears fell
Voices rose
Hearts were lifted.
The Spirit was there.
