Swimming in Your Veins

The river calls swim, and I obey.

Feet slip fast, across the bones.

Water curls, it pulls, it sings.

It swims through you, it’s your blood.

I swim through your veins blood.

The sunlight dances, in each drop.

It sparks on me, it sparks my skin.

My laughter cracks, the blood deep red.

I float, I dive, the veins are soft.

I swim in a Red Sea of bloody love.

I chase the flow it goes to your heart.

will you let me in?, it never allows me?

It carries you life, it destroys my joy.

When evening comes, I let go.

The river flows, but does run away.

It runs inside you, I want to be yours.

It hums and hums, in every vein.

I flow to a heart closed, driving me insain.
