Swallowed up in golden fevers

—from Edward Rochester, no response required unless reciprocated

By Melissa IngoldsbyPublished 3 years ago 1 min read
Lucy from Elfen Lied

swallowed up in shackled folded gold

A fool I am to pine for you, Jane Eyre, but I dare say we fit well together, off my tongue it rolled

I passionately swore that I’d adore you in any state

Mad, angry, annoyed, happy, sad or sick, I’d hold you in feverish Affection, my love you cannot placate

I’m sorry, I know limericks are supposed to be funny, but it is absurd, Like being swallowed, the gold is growing a sickly mold.
