Lift up your voice

I’ve not been writing down my words

Not leaving comments

Not cheering you on as you

Exercise your voice and elevate

Your thoughts.

But.

I’ve not been silent.

Me? Silent?!

For now I’ve found

That writing down the words doesn’t scratch

That itch.

Doesn’t calm that swell of

Passion bubbling through my

Mind and arms

Fizzing through my fingers and

Blossoming into print.

No.

I’ve tried.

The words look back at me then

Cant their eyes away in shame

Why am I doing this?

What aren’t I speaking?

Time for

Flat print and shadow-ink

On virtual page later

-once Democracy has been

Rapunzeled down a length of gold

And unelected cyber-thieves are run

Through the streets and sent to space

Then my words will sit

Pretty

Once again.

Besides-

How can I write with my eyes full of

Fiery-Iced tears saturating a mountain of

I told you so?

So I’m calling

Calling and exhorting

Local and capital offices

Reminding them we are one Voice

Every day

5Calls

Blankets and warm clothes, plates and

Dishes, mugs and pans

Soap, diapers, tampons, socks.

Donations to bind us closer as

Community.

Here at home today I

See you. You are not alone.

I call for me-you-us

Not forgetting to use the voice I’ve found

Not forgetting you

Lift up your voice

Sursum Corda

I’m using 5Calls as I contact elected officials re: current U.S. situations.

I am an American first, and a political part, I don't own. I believe we all have to ban together no matter if we agree or disagree. Remember United We Stand - Isn't that bottom line whet we stand for. - Divided we fall. Nicely Done Article However, although I disagree with its content. Isn't it wonderful that we live in a country we all are allowed to disagree. United We Stand for the United States of America.

As a Canadian, I applaud your efforts to get involved to right the many wrongs out there...and your use of Malcolm "Under the Volcano" Lowry's favourite Latin! Keep up the fight!

Aside from your warm and encouraging spirit, that unwavering support you give and just your loving nature, I love and admire that you are a woman, a human of principles and conviction who practices what she speaks! this was stirring and vital, Judey!

I didn't' know there was such a thing. Thank you for sharing. And I hear you loud and clear. The future changes at a blink of an eye. Why wait for more nonsense when action can thwart it, change the direction or cancel it out altogether. I'm praying for the latter.
