Surrender
A Descent into the Void of Madness

The clock shrieks, a banshee's cry,
The air thickens, the world goes dry.
Whispers crawl beneath my skin,
A deranged voice, a twisted grin.
—
Shadows stretch with soulless eyes,
The mirror cracks, revealing lies.
I scream, but none can hear my plea,
My mind teeters, set to flee.
—
The ground gives way, the void calls near,
I reach for light, but it disappears.
Silence swallows, the darkness calls,
"Surrender now, and lose it all."

Incredible poem, Dr. Jason! Thanks for sharing this piece ❤️
This is a real picturesque poem of fear and fright. Good job.
Chilling! I love the concept of the mirror cracking and revealing lies and if the pretty image on it's surface withheld the truth like a snapchat filter.
