Long weekdays seems to exist
for grueling campaigns against our own will;
being stressed out, we can't complain,
and simply surviving is a high rate skill.
-*-
At the end of the day, we want to go home,
walking or driving, or riding the bus;
engaged in one selves, not sharing at all,
not talking, no smiling, not looking for fuss.
-*-
But there is this one thing that makes it worth,
being full aware of what's waiting away;
those simple words that we yearn all day long:
"Hello, my sweetheart! how was your day?"

Ahh, this is so warm and relatable! The exhaustion of long weekdays, the quiet solitude of the commute, and then—boom—pure comfort in a simple greeting.
This isn't something that I can relate to but I loved your poem. So beautifully written!
This is so damn relateable! Working hard all day and haveing every single reason not to smile— One person! One person can solve it all. Knowing that they're waiting for you, a sweet word from their lips; solves every single problem ❤ Truly beautiful poem ✨
