Sunshine Return

I'll bring you summer, you more than deserve it

By Tim WortonPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Ice-cream melting, what was on his mind?

He lost himself now pale in his beach tan

That summer I dreamt a dream that wasn't mine

To bring back sunshine to a selfless man

.

Few actions bring out smiles in my martyr

The sun can't shine forever so I'll help

My turn to save him from churning water

Won't say you miss your mom but I can tell

.

Dug an orchid bed while you weren't home

Explosive laughter came back that evening

Forgot she favoured pots with marigold

Happy cried at sunset, what you're needing

.

His glowing came back by Octobers end

If it gets lost I'll just find it again.
