I am not all sunshine and rainbows

I am not all in the world, colored and clear

I am but grey, black and blue

Bruised and beaten from the inside out

Black and white vision as I go through life

Erasing my despair until there is no color

So it was the strangest thing when I saw you, blue

Not the blue from within, dark and dreary

A constant reminder

To pretend

Hollowed smiles and endless nights

No, this blue was more

More of what I had been longing

No, missing

More of what I had dreamed I would become again

Whole and strong and clear and colored

inspirational
