Dripping sunlight
Over the mountain my finger grazes softly.
What do you have for me today?
I saw that your dawn was a quiet one,
So quiet that even the crescent moon lingered.
Just for a moment.
Just for a moment,
The stars fell for the morning,
And the frozen stillness of the sky seemed to move slower,
Than our set time.
Against the clouds, you still shone bright.
Perhaps a heart miles away held your spirit,
And welcomed you within.
In that case,
How long will you stay with me?
The clouds are rolling in
And for once,
I want to see what your sunlight means to me.
