The bright yellow sun burns my eyes

But I love to look at it

Because when I do

I am welcomed in its warmth

The soft glow it gives when rising up to the top

I feel relaxed at the sight of it

And it reminds me of my youthful days

The wildest times of my childhood

The feeling of being free

Didn’t have a care in the world

Just following my dreams

And here I am, standing in the distance

Where I can see the endless horizon

As the ocean flows

I let the sand in my toes bury me in

As I walked closer to the cold water

My feet against the waves crashing by

I close my eyes as a smile on my lips starts to grow

The wind caressing my cheeks

My hair loosen up freely

My clothes flowing in the wind

I stretch out my arms

For the first time in a long time

I felt happy.
