Summertime

A Poem

By Stewart McIntyrePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Soaring seagulls sweep swiftly,

Singing sweetly, sounding silly.

Sands shift slowly, shimmering silver,

Sun sets softly, staining sky scarlet.

Salty sea spray splashes shore,

Soothing senses, sharing serenity.

Small shells scattered, shells seen,

Seeping sea scents, sensation serene.

Ships sail silently, smoothly,

Seamen steering, skilled sailors.

Seabirds squawk, soaring high,

Searching seafood, scavenging sly.

Seaside scenery, sublime sight,

Saturated sunlight, shining bright.

Swaying seagrass, swaying slow,

Sultry summer, shining glow.

Surfers slide, swells surge,

Splashing surf, salty surge.

Secluded spots, secret sands,

Serene spots, safe havens.

Strolling shore, stretching stride,

Savoring scenery, sights surprise.

Sands still, sky stars sparkle,

Satisfied soul, silent spectacle.

Satisfying sensations, summertime bliss,

Sensual sea, seductive kiss.

Splendid sunrise, special start,

Setting sun, serene heart.

Sojourns spent, sunsets savored,

Soulful sea, seafront favored.

Sleepy seashore, serene sleep,

Sensational scene, surreal deep.
