Sun glazing on the streets
While everyone is up or asleep
Streets lights blinking
Some can’t even see while thinking
What’s next besides experiencing hotness
But next come fun
While in the sun
While water splashes
Heat and tension clashes
The kids needs quarters
Maybe for a water
Or two, they gotta stay hydrated
Get through this summer
For it’s one to remember
One to enjoy
One to never forget
Whether you’re going on
Vacation or to an amusement park
Or to a beach
Or to a sea
Have fun
Be all you can be
Be your best you
Explore and see
Know that you’re going to have fun

The rain had started right around the time that Annie was buttering her second thick slice of homemade toast for breakfast, and hadn’t paused since. Not that anyone could tell.
