For the love of WORDS!

Instructions - Let your curiosity lead you on a thoughtful word journey.

By Novel AllenPublished 14 minutes ago 2 min read

Have you ever stopped to ponder and think

that choosing the right word

can make or break a thought

that words evoke emotions, colors and flavors -

evolving differently to each individual person's

individuality...

Words can make the imagination soar

Or plunge your soul into the depths of despair -

If you have never ruminated on such a thing! Then...

Come hither worthy scriveners,

writers, scribblers and poetic wonders.

Let your curiosity lead you on a thoughtful journey

of discovering the wonder of words.

Here is how to love WORDS - to cerebrate deeply

To cogitate, brood and meditate on the efficacy of 'words'

But...

Let me first regale you with more loving thoughts on words.

Words to me are like my love of ice cream and beer

Some are so sweet I inhale - indulge their delicious flavors

Others bring bitter, woeful vetch - like the tangy beer

I close my eyes as they roll off the tip of my tongue

As I savor the many sensations which each conjure

Words become akin to my emotions

Love, hate, joy, sorrow, pain, ecstasy, delight

Love...entrances, beguiles, enraptures, captivates

and warms the cockles of my heart ~~~

Ah yes. Hate...

Though such a tiny four letter thing...

The word Hate...brings anger by its very implication

four little letters magnified in a hapless scope -

But in Joy... thankfully - my heart's happiness overflows

Sorrow...literally breaks your heart

Pain...comes in literal, figurative, metaphorical bursts

of mortification - crippling the soul.

Within Ecstasy and Delight:

Here we should strive to live...

Words come in shades of vermillion

and every other shade and hue

of which we can imagine

Yet, however am I ever going to write a book

For within my head is a jumbled

Cascading waterfall of a trillion words

It will take me forever to properly order them

to operate in an orderly manner for extreme cohesion

Maybe first I should plant a tree of words

From which I could easily pluck the ones

Which my heart desires the most

within each given moment...

Such a giant of a tree

My word tree would be!!!

Words - I adore you

Such a delight to my senses!

Lean your ears down close to each word

Let it whisper its desire

Then write with the fullest of intent

As instructed by each wonderous word.

You've perfectly captured why choosing one word can take hours, and why it’s worth it
