Sweet scent of July fills the open air
Forcing my head with memories of you
All the times we use to cry out and swear
Constantly making us worn down and blue
Wishing the heat would just melt us away
Into puddles of teenage love and hate
Please let these feelings become yesterday
I just want to be able to think straight
Your taste of bitterness still lingers near
Sweeping across my thin rose color lips
Remembering how you hold me so dear
Like the moon during a solar eclipse
One day these sore thoughts will be in the past
Remove from my mind forever at last
