Summer sun swallows Spring,

Scorching soil, shallowing streams.

Sown seeds seldom see sky

Spoiled, Stolen, Silenced.

Summer sun swallows Spring,

Savaging seasons, souring scenes,

Sending sad songs swiftly sung

Somewhat sore, somehow stung.

About the Creator

Saskia Reed

Books and writing have always been my escapism. And so, it gives me great pleasure to say that I am a writer. Writing has always been integral to me as a way to express my thoughts while also commenting on the world!
