Summer Snow

The summer that changed my life

By Sydney FuriePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Summer dreams of beaches and family

Escaping to new and unseen places

Nature's wonders carved so beautifully

As the hot sun beat down on our faces

This summer would change all those thereafter

Days of "asado," nights of Campari

Rainy mornings filled with love and laughter

Children's precious smiles with each new story

A summer of love, not with one, but two

The place I expected, but he surprised

Love that gave breath to something wholly new

Together they shaped the shift in my mind

I touched down onto wondrous summer snow

And for the first time, it was all unknown
