Summer's Daydream

Written By: Antoni Sparta

By Anna WakehousePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

The Sun-kissed land is caressed by tender waves

Cooling touch of sand lies beneath soft feet

A sea breeze whispers secrets that a lover craves

Hoping by night one could find some retreat

Gazing upon the tranquil sea of dreams

I wonder what exists beyond my sight

Feeling of loneliness breaks the seams

Tears burning down my face as day turns night

Heat cools as the sun dies drowning in the sea

Stars come out to give a twinkling hope

The moon's light softly falls upon me

Like a mother helping her child cope

The sea continues to offer me some reprieve

That anything is possible if I believe
