Summer is Coming
A poem about the spring to summer transition.
By Madison "Maddy" NewtonPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

Spring, summer, spilling.
Sorted scents, sizzling sun,
school semesters shortening.
Students, suppressed spirits,
suddenly seizing summer sensations, splendor.
Swimming, sportfishing, surfing,
sipping soda, soaking sweatiness, satisfied.
Schedules surrounding sunshine—
seamless, structured.
Siblings scramble, snapshots shine,
splashing shallows, soft sands.
Summer seed, sprouted.
