Summer Bike Ride

60 KM uphill both ways

Out from my house I drag a two-wheeler

My sister and I head off for a cruise

New helmet, tight shorts, needing a healer

My left and right palms are starting to bruise

The sun is blazing at each break we feast

Hot skin is melting: Apply the sunscreen

Riding my bike I’m a powerful beast

But sweaty short legs are starting to scream

Drip drop off my face the beads start to roll

I suck in fresh air, the pain starts to show

The length of the trip is taking its toll

The roads are so long, we're almost home though

Sixty kilometers uphill we did

To add a goal to the charity grid
