They greet you with a gentle smile,

Their words so sweet, they charm a while.

With every laugh, they play their part,

Hiding poison deep in their heart.

...

They speak of kindness, love, and care,

Yet in their gaze, a subtle snare.

A velvet cloak to mask their art,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

Their words, like honey, drip so slow,

But in the shadows, darkness grows.

They lure you close, their traps so smart,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

They will offer help, extend a hand,

And promise things so grand, so grand.

Yet hidden truths will tear apart,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

Their friendship sparkles, seems so true,

But underneath, they scheme for you.

A false embrace, a twisted start,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

Beware the charm, the soft disguise,

The sweetest voice can tell the lies.

For in their kindness lies the dart,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

They smile and joke, they laugh and cheer,

But hide the truths you need to fear.

Their aim is clear; their schemes are sharp,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

With every step, they build your trust,

But their intentions turn to dust.

A sweet veneer, a cunning chart,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

They spread their charm, they paint their lies,

A puppet show, a thin disguise.

Their threads are spun with wicked art,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

They’ll raise you high, then let you fall,

A trap that’s planned to fool us all.

From acts so kind, their venom starts,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

Yet not all smiles are masks of pain,

Not all who grin have lies to feign.

So tread with care, discern the part,

To guard your soul, protect your heart.

...

For those who shine with true intent,

Whose kindness is sincerely meant,

They’ll stand by you, through light and dark,

No sugar lips, no poisoned heart.

...

But guard yourself from those who scheme,

Whose sweetness is a fleeting dream.

Their charm may glow, but soon will part,

Revealing poison in their heart.

...

Be wise to see beyond the face,

For not all charm is filled with grace.

Some weave deceit with careful art,

Sugar on their lips, poison in their heart.

...

So listen close and look within,

Not all who smile are free from sin.

Their sweet façade may soon depart,

Unveiling poison in their heart.

...

In a world so full of twists and turns,

Where trust is fragile, hard to earn,

Let wisdom guide you from the start,

To shield your soul, protect your heart.

...

Though bitter truths may leave a scar,

They help reveal just who they are.

For masks will slip, and lies will part,

Unveiling poison in their heart.

...

And as you grow, you'll learn to see,

Who’s truly kind, who’s meant to be.

Hold fast to those who play no part,

No sugar lips, no poisoned heart.

...

The world is vast, with light and shade,

And many paths we’ve yet to wade.

Choose wisely whom you let take part,

To walk beside your trusting heart.

β€˜A smile hiding poison deep in their hearts’. This was a powerful opening and a reminder that sometimes, things aren’t what they seem. β€˜A velvet cloak to mask their art’ what I love about this line is that it speaks of something that looks all put together on the outside, but masks the ART of deception. It hold the first view lines together and deepened its meaning. β€˜Sugar on their lips’ this is an unforgettable line, I like the ring to it. β€˜In their kindness lies the dart’. Oh my πŸ‘ŒπŸ½ Oh I see it gets to the other perspective, that some people can be genuine but it takes discernment, which is true. Trust really is fragile and hard to earn. β€˜Though bitter truths may leave a scar, They help reveal just who they are.’ Bittersweet for sure, on one end we are relived that the truth is being seen, but then it hurts so it can be hard to have a balanced outlook. β€˜To walk beside your trusting heart.’ The ending is beautiful. This poem had everything. The perfect length, a balanced view and even repetition for us to always remember your wisdom. Outstanding work Hinata πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘ŒπŸ½β™₯οΈπŸ€—

YES! You said it all in this poem - those who pretend and are not true, or are selfish so they pretend. Great job! I liked these lines especially: They spread their charm, they paint their lies, A puppet show, a thin disguise. Their threads are spun with wicked art,
