Suck at it

until you are good

Suck at it

To suck at something,

To try your best, but only to hear failure

To fall, to miss the mark,

To feel like you're not good enough.

You put in the effort, you gave it your all,

But the results just weren't there, and you feel small.

You watch others succeed, with ease and grace,

While you struggle to keep up in the race.

It's humbling, to suck at something,

To feel like you're stuck, and can't stop suffering.

But don't give up hope, and put your gifts aside,

For with every failure, comes a chance to grow.

Take a moment, and try again,

For each attempt is a chance to win.

Embrace the struggle, and learn from the fall,

For the sweetest victories come to those who give their all.

So don't be ashamed to suck at something,

It's a part of life, a journey worth living.

Keep pushing forward, and suck at it,

until you suck less each time.

For the reward is worth it,

because we artists are not made overnight

we are made 'over nights'.
