Such a Stunt

~

By Rowan Finley Published about a year ago 1 min read

Aging flower,

Ripening love.

As a thug on a rug,

as are two love bugs on flower petal.

Gearing up for takeoff,

to get takeout,

because our hearts are taken,

with added feelings and fervor.

On our way, we went smack into a semi’s front,

why did we try to pull such a stunt?

Hey there! Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your poem! The playful imagery and the unique way you blended love with a touch of humor really resonated with me. The contrast of the aging flower and the vibrant love felt so fresh! Keep sharing your awesome creativity! Cheers!
