Subliminal Exhaustion

A quest for reprieve

Symphonies Sing

Inside an intrepid mind

Limericks and lyrics smothered by laundry and lunches

Endless teetering tasks fill pages instead of poems

Now, suns set, and moons rise

Cantankerous pulsing headaches replace frivolous thoughts

Eyes close, and oblivion’s reprieve silently, thankfully, embraces

How to turn mundanity into poetry! Your words resonate so much; I wish I could summon slumbers with more ease 🥰

I wasn't going to comment as silence felt more appropriate, but this needed praise. Well done!

That last line felt like such a relief. Way to bring the 'feels' into this.

Singing my life with your words. In the least romantic way possible.

The "l" alliteration in Line 3 was great. For me, I'd swap it to "Limericks and lyrics smothered by submissions and strategizing." Slightly less alliteration, but true to my independent author heart.

Oh, so true, so true. I feel this lament ... and acquiescence.

Seeee. told you had something in you special to share for the challenge. I love how its a little art imitating life (from what you were saying) beautifully done, pal. Lots of brilliant, exquisite lines. Especially love the alliteration at bits with the limericks and lyrics, laundry and launches bit and even the inside an intrepid bit but those last two lines are so awesome. Like...it fells like everything comes to a serene standstill after getting so stressful and noisy. Well played, well played - was well worth the wait too!
