Overcoming Stress: Finding Peace and Strength Within

Stress, oh stress, a weight upon my chest,

A never-ending battle, a constant test.

It creeps and crawls, takes hold of my soul,

And drains my energy, leaving me feeling low.

I try to hide it, put up a brave face,

But it's always there, in every place.

At work, at home, even in my dreams,

It haunts me constantly, it seems.

But I won't give up, I won't surrender,

I'll fight this demon, I'll be a defender.

With deep breaths taken, and a calm mind,

I'll find the peace that I need to find.

I'll exercise, I'll meditate, I'll be kind,

I'll surround myself with love, I'll be blind

To negative thoughts, and embrace the light,

I'll find my strength, and take flight.

So stress, be gone, I banish thee,

I am in control, I am free.

And though you may return, and try again,

I'll be ready, with peace within.
