From the ground
Stretching the limits of historical tyranny
Of doing things differently
It was something out of an old epic
That he found the entire course of human evolution
In his core
In his arms, a soft embrace,
His new sword was drawn
His name on his back
And his children his true defense
The winning team of strength
The dreaded cacophony of his trampled holiday tree youth, crushed presents and no explanation but anger
He chooses to keep the trees lined up
He chooses a better story
To be a real man, a father with strength
And love.
