Strength, No fear, and a few tears

Leading the Tribe

By Angel Sparks Published 4 years ago Updated 4 years ago 1 min read

Leading the tribe, take nots much,

sometimes it’s stressful, and not enough.

Leading the tribe, through the fog,

to make the goal, feels just right, but also wrong.

To get through each task, a small part of you gone.

Doing what no one else will, to get the job done.

To get through each task, each time, you have to be strong.

And can’t fear, what might go wrong.

To feel defeated and incomplete, hoping that tribesman will not see.

To be chief, a tough warrior, and not cry

The tribe is all happy, but never wonders how or why.

You drain yourself, no one sees, but what you do matters, no one competes.

You might be down inside for now, with how the tribe went to bed with no passion or drive, for the rest of that night.

But your strength and your pride, the way you lead your people, that light.

You are a great leader, never question that line.

You are amazing , but you will never see, the admiration and adoration you tribesmen see.

And that’s alright cause you continue to carry on, carry you people, you continue to lead.

To me, words will always go with actions, they are beautiful, dicey and all together fun. Actions complete those words, especially when conveying a deep message, I hope to do just that.
