Storms Of A Stranger
Inevitable Endings

Brittle bones turn into dust
Teardrops fall, turn into rust
Enemies turn into friends
Becoming strangers once again
The guilty, simply misplace trust
And love can't seem to outlast lust
Time and time and time again
From sweet Begins to bitter ends
Expressions mark it all in pain
Tattooed deeply, in my skin
In my mind, without an end
To cover sins and shift the blame
We play our own games of pretend
Letting the damage linger in
Ravaging hearts like wild winds
Of hurricanes brewin', trembling
Promises of make believe
With the truth hidden up your sleeve
Diamonds bury hearts with spades
While dirty deeds are being played
All the while, we dream of love
The thing that wishes are made of

Oh my. I just love this. Well done, once again.
What can I say Kelli. This would have to be one of my favorites you have written. It's so deep and thoughtful - I love it. So many good lines, but I think my favorite two are: Enemies turn into friends Becoming strangers once again Love it, love it!
This is so beautiful and magically written, Kelli 💗
The whole poem is lovely, but those last two lines !!
Such a heartbreakingly sad but powerful poem...
This is raw and powerful, weaving heartbreak, trust, and the chaos of love into a storm of words. The rhythm flows like a tempest, crashing through emotions and leaving behind a haunting beauty. Beautifully written!
