Storm
weatherable fluctuations
the skies greyed
the winds chilled
the thunder came
the storm blew in
and all i could do
was be
my lightning rod self
the rains pelted
driven by
the freezing winds
the thunder roared
the storm was here
and all i could do
was be
my lightning rod self
the day darkened
a premature night
the pelting rains
defying gravity
in their hunger
to wet everything
the centre of the storm
and all i could do
was be
my lightning rod self
the heated air
between each strike
expands,
becomes the thunder
the zig zag lightshow
darts between the horizons
the storm passes
and still…all i did
was be
my lightning rod self

Well, I read II first, of course. I'm happy to say it didn't detract from either one of them. Being a lightning rod isn't all bad.
Here it's winter. It was even snowing yesterday. So no more lightnings, though the rains ain't over. 'Shit magnet'? Lol. The second part greatly complements the first one by the way! Pelting lines!
